Crisis Management

If “Crisis” for a corporation is a sudden threat to its existence then obviously it needs prompt and careful management. Assuming that the procedures outlined in our Risk Management section have been implemented, then the first step is to reach out to the company’s preordained Crisis Management Team.

Depend on the severity, they will need and should get specialist outside help to fill in the gaps. Those gaps could be legal, technical or forensic, depending on the nature of the crisis. In any event it is reasonable to assume that senior staff are “Too close” to the fire and need a “Cool Head” if only to be a sounding board, however, someone who was there before could usefully apply their experience.
